I found her music through Spotify and when I heard one of her song called Love In The Light, I can feel that she’s gonna be huge really soon.

Love In The Light is a semi upbeat song with totally earcatchy melodies that I’m quite sure will make you falling in love with this song at the first time you hear it. The combination between the sound of the drum, percussion, keyboard, and electronic instruments make this song really worth to hear. Clairity’s awesome, smooth, and unique voice also perfectly fit with the melodies. Definitely love this song. It makes me want to sing and dance at the same time.

Okay, if you haven’t heard this awesome song from Clairity, I suggest you to hear this song and I’m really sure you won’t regret it. Thank you and enjoy the music. 🙂

Throw Back Thursday

Everything You Want by Vertical Horizon

Since we’re in the spirit of #ThrowBackThursday galore, we’d like to share another favorite song from 1999. This time it is Everything You Want from the alternative rock band from Washington D.C, Vertical Horizon.

Just a couple hours ago, out of nowhere, we sang one of the famous lyrics from Vertical Horizon while we did our work, “I am everything you want, I am everything you need, I am everything inside of you that you wish you could be…” and whooozzz my mind swept back into my teenage era. Yes, I grew up with Everything You Want album from Vertical Horizon. For me, the album is so easy listening and singable. I love both Matt Scannell and Keith Kane’s voice and the way they deliver the emotion in every song, that is why I think this album is singable. Also, the melody in every song feels just in a right amount, making it sounds effortlessly good. No wonder, this album could bring Vertical Horizon name soared into the music industry.

Actually, I have  a hard time to decide which songs that I want to put as my #TBT since I love You’re a God, Everything You Want, Finding Me, Miracle, or Shackled. In fact, I need to listen to the whole album before deciding Everything You Want as my #TBT. Hope you enjoy this song as much as I am 🙂

Throw Back Thursday

Coffee & TV from Blur

Can’t believe it’s already Thursday and it means it’s time for Throwback Thursday. Okay, this time I will take you to the year of 1999 and try to remind you about one of the legendary band from London, Blur. Yupp, Damon Albarn and his friends already introduced us to their great music and become one of the most influential band in music history.

I choose Coffee and TV as our Throwback Thursday for this week. Coffee and TV was taken from Blur’s sixth album called 13 which released on March 1999. I’m sure all of you still remember the music video where you can see the milk box walking around the city. Honestly, my tears always fell every time I saw the ending part of the video where the milk box start to fly away and finally meet the ‘girl milk box’ who already stepped before in the sky then they start to fly together. It makes me so sad until there was a time when I didn’t want to see the video anymore. But somehow, I still think this is one of the best music video ever.

Okay, if you really missed the song and the video, let me remind you a little bit. Just press the play button below and enjoy the music. Thank you

In Our Humble Opinion

The Little Story Behind New Music Friday

Ever wonder why there’s rarely new music from Monday to Thursday? Ever heard a term called, New Music Friday? Ever notice that, indeed, there are new musics on Friday, even Spotify creates playlist that gather new music on Friday? Why Friday? Why not Monday or Tuesday and so on?

Well, it used to be Tuesday, at least in America.  The day of the new music release used to be Tuesday for around 25 years. But then technology shapes the world into a new form. Now, people able to stream music and has a lot access to get the music they like, legally or illegally. If you live in America, where the day of the new music used to be Tuesday, you could buy the new music by Tuesday, while people who live in, says, Indonesia, need to wait for couple months more. If people couldn’t help to wait, there’s a fat chance that they choose to download music illegally, thanks to the advance of the internet. And what happen when the music finally released in the other country where people already download it illegally? Well, they will find buying the album is no longer appealing.

That, become the reason why music industry decided to make a global day of new music release. Then, why Friday? The decision was made by the result of a survey conducted in eight countries. Most participants, around 68%, choose Friday or Saturday as the global new music release day. So, starting July 10th, 2015, music industry starts releasing new music on Friday.

By specifying the global new music release day, it is expected that not only people will stop downloading music from illegal sites, but also helping musicians to promote their music via social-media effectively–because on that day, excited fans will regularly checking new music on Friday. And in the end, excitement is one of the impulsive factors that drive people to buy something.

Most Anticipated

Most Anticipated Singer: Ry-Lo

I think 2017 will be an exciting year for music industry. So far, I already found some interesting new music from new musicians who will released their debut EP next year. One of them is an alternative pop singer from Nashville, United States, Ry-Lo. Quite different from what I know about Nashville as one of the best city who already produced so many great country musicians, Ry-Lo bring alternative pop in her music and introduced us with her own music character .

I found her music through Discover Weekly in Spotify and I feel so excited when I heard her music for the first time. There’s something powerful in her music and her voice. Ry-Lo already released three songs: Grand Canyon, New Friend, and Come Close. One of her single called Grand Canyon is a powerful song with a great sound of electric guitar and the beat of the drum. Somehow, the melodies a little bit remind me with Coldplay, but Ry-Lo definitely has something unique in her music.

Somehow, I have a feeling that Ry-Lo will be huge singer really soon so I choose her as our Most Anticipated Singer. Definitely can’t wait to hear her debut EP or maybe an album. For now, try to hear one of her songs which also my favorite too and let us know your opinion about Ry-Lo. Thank you and enjoy the music. 🙂

Familiar by Agnes Obel

There are lot of factors that makes a song interesting and stuck in my mind. One of them is the way the musician deliver it. And that’s what Agnes Obel does to her song Familiar, taken from her new album Citizen of Glass. Listening to this songs is mind-blowing.

I love how the tiptoe feeling that the piano creates since the beginning of the intro; the mysterious feeling that the cello creates, and the layering voice in the chorus, all sets are totally gripping my attention and send a dark feeling. It feels more than just a song and it keeps me pressing the play button. If you haven’t heard this song, take a listen bellow and share with us what you think about this song 🙂
