Palace From Hayley Kiyoko

My currently listening for this week is Palace from American singer-songwriter and also an actress, Hayley Kiyoko. Maybe I was too late to discover this great song, but Palace definitely a great pleasure to hear. This song has a catchy beat and irresistible melodies with the combination from electronic instruments and of course, Kiyoko’s beautiful voice.

Palace was taken from Hayley Kiyoko’s third EP Citrine which already released since September 2016. This EP definitely awesome and somehow five songs are never enough for me. BØRNS Returns With His New Single, Faded Heart

Finally! It’s been two years since his last irresistible debut album Dopamine gave us a great pleasure to our ears. Now, Garret Borns or known worldwide as BØRNS has returns and finally released his new single Faded Heart. This song was his first single for his upcoming new album which was predict will be release sometime in the beginning of 2018. Hands up if you already feel so excited to hear his new album!

The only thing that I could say about BØRNS is he never lost his touch to make a good music. You’ll always falling in love with his music since the first hear. That’s exactly what I feel when the first time I hear The Emotion and Electric Love. It is the same like when I hear Faded Heart for the first time. Actually, Faded Heart has more upbeat that other songs before, but BØRNS definitely bring something so refreshing and powerful. Plus, BØRNS’ dreamy and powerful voice makes everything so great to hear.

Speeding Cars From Imogen Heap

It’s time for Throwback Thursday! This week I’m going to take you to around 12 years ago, to the year of 2005 and this is one of my favorite singer at that time. Maybe all of you still remember the song called Goodnight and Go as one of the soundtrack from the famous TV series, The OC. Can you guess who sing this song? Right! She is a British electro and alternative pop singer-songwriter, Imogen Heap. I was one of her huge fan at that moment and somehow, her voice still gave me a goosebumps every time I hear her song.

For our Throwback Thursday this week, I choose one of Imogen Heap’s song called Speeding Cars and I think this song already on my playlist for almost decade and still become my favorite ones. The tunes of piano combined with Imogen Heap’s voice at the intro always gave me chills and make me falling in love with this song. Definitely a perfect combination and a great pleasure for your ears. I totally love this song so much.

2 Become 1 From Spice Girls

For all of you who grew up in 90’s music era, I’m really sure you already know about this legendary  and phenomenal girl band ever and everybody’s favorite. Yes! I talk about five superwoman: Melanie C, Emma Bunton, Melanie B, Victoria Beckham, and Geri Halliwell or we also known as Spice Girls. I remember I falling in love with Spice Girls since the first time I listened to their album when I was still at elementary school. They are success to hypnotized all people who listened their music.

Okay. It’s hard to choose which song that I have to write for our Throwback Thursday this week, but then I remember the first song that I really like from Spice Girls. It is 2 Become 1 which taken from their debut album Spice (1996). I’m really sure all of you still remember the melodies, the lyrics and could sing this song perfectly. Right, folks?

Most Anticipated Singer: Theia

Our most anticipated singer for this month is a wonderful singer-songwriter from New Zealand, Em-Haley Walker or also known as Theia. I accidentally found and heard her awesome music through Spotify and I falling in love with one of her song called Roam at the first hear. Then, I curious to hear another music from her and I found out that she just released her self-titled debut EP last June. After hear the EP then I’m really sure she’ll become one of the most anticipated singer.

Theia has her own music characteristic that makes people can’t stop listened her music over and over again. The result from the combination between dream pop and R & B is addicting and infectious melodies who become a great pleasure for all of you who listen her music. Plus, Theia’s smooth and beautiful voice become one of the main attraction from her music. Definitely something really good to hear.

Fake Friends From Sigrid

Okay, I have to admit that Sigrid’s latest EP is still addicting for my ears. I can’t stop listening Don’t Kill My Vibe EP even after weeks. Somehow four songs are never enough. Maybe that’s why I’m gonna write about Sigrid again and this time for my Currently Listening category. I hope I don’t make you feel bored with this music blog. 🙂

I choose Fake Friends as my currently listening for this week. This is also my favorite ones. Starting with slow melodies from piano and guitar at the beginning then getting upbeat at the pre-chorus and great powerful melodies at the chorus. Somehow, the combination between all instruments especially the piano tunes, drum beats, and sounds from electronic instruments makes everything so perfect to hear.

I definitely can’t wait to hear another Sigrid’s music in the future.
