Thanks to Haim because now I’m back listening to Shania Twain’s album again after a quite long time. I almost forgot her awesomeness when she sing every song. Shania Twain definitely a real diva in music industry. That’s why I choose Shania Twain as our Throwback Thursday for this week.

One of my favorite song from Shania Twain is You’ve Got Away. This song was taken from her third studio album Come On Over (1997). If you already watched Notting Hill, I think you really know about this song. You’ve Got Away is one of ballad song in this album. The melodies are so calm and Shania Twain’s beautiful voice makes everything so perfect to hear.

Speeding Cars From Imogen Heap

It’s time for Throwback Thursday! This week I’m going to take you to around 12 years ago, to the year of 2005 and this is one of my favorite singer at that time. Maybe all of you still remember the song called Goodnight and Go as one of the soundtrack from the famous TV series, The OC. Can you guess who sing this song? Right! She is a British electro and alternative pop singer-songwriter, Imogen Heap. I was one of her huge fan at that moment and somehow, her voice still gave me a goosebumps every time I hear her song.

For our Throwback Thursday this week, I choose one of Imogen Heap’s song called Speeding Cars and I think this song already on my playlist for almost decade and still become my favorite ones. The tunes of piano combined with Imogen Heap’s voice at the intro always gave me chills and make me falling in love with this song. Definitely a perfect combination and a great pleasure for your ears. I totally love this song so much.

For all of you who grew up in 90’s music era, I’m really sure you already know about this legendary  and phenomenal girl band ever and everybody’s favorite. Yes! I talk about five superwoman: Melanie C, Emma Bunton, Melanie B, Victoria Beckham, and Geri Halliwell or we also known as Spice Girls. I remember I falling in love with Spice Girls since the first time I listened to their album when I was still at elementary school. They are success to hypnotized all people who listened their music.

Okay. It’s hard to choose which song that I have to write for our Throwback Thursday this week, but then I remember the first song that I really like from Spice Girls. It is 2 Become 1 which taken from their debut album Spice (1996). I’m really sure all of you still remember the melodies, the lyrics and could sing this song perfectly. Right, folks?

It’s Thursday and it means it’s time for Throwback Thursday. This time, I want to take you to the year of 1997. This song is one of my favorite 90’s song. For you who grew up with MTV as your daily TV program, I think you’re still remember this song. Do you remember about Lighthouse Family folks? Yes! Our Throwback Thursday for this week is High from British pop duo, Lighthouse Family.

High was taken from Lighthouse Family’s second album, Postcards From Heaven which was released on 1997. Since it was released, this song was reach no.1 position in many countries’ music chart. That’s why High become the most successful single released by Lighthouse Family.

I remember I keep playing High over and over again after I heard this song for the first time. The melodies, the sounds of the strings, the tunes of piano, the back singer’s voice, and of course Tunde Baiyewu’s voice somehow makes me calm and wants to play this song again and again. Definitely something really nice to hear.

At Your Side by The Corrs

We’re back! But first, we are so sorry for our absence in Throwback Thursday category for the last two months I think. But now, I’m so ready to take you to the 90’s and early 2000’s music era and remind you a little bit about your favorite music when you grow up.

This time I’m gonna take you to the year of 2000 and for the second time, I choose my all time favorite band from Ireland, The Corrs. Yes, even after 12 years since the first time I heard their music, I’m still falling in love with this band. And Andrea’s voice is still the most beautiful voice I’ve ever heard.

For our Throwback Thursday this week, I choose one of my favorite song from The Corrs, At Your Side. This song was appear in The Corrs Unplugged album (1999) and In Blue (2000). At Your Side becomes my favorite one because the lyrics is so beautiful and the melodies also so wonderful. You can sing this song to your beloved ones, best friend and family.

The Sign From Ace of Base

It’s time for Throwback Thursday! Okay, this time I’m gonna take you to the year of 1993. But first, let me told you about my story. I’m quite sure all of you have favorite 90’s song that you still listen until now. Well, I can say I know about this band since I was 4 years old. I remember I heard this song for the first time when me and my family took a vacation to my hometown. I think this is the first foreign song that I ever heard when I was a child. Somehow I falling in love with the upbeat and dance melody since the first hear and honestly, I never put this song outside my playlist until now. Right! I can say that this song already in my playlist for almost 24 years.

Well, the song that I’m talking about is The Sign from Ace Of Base. I’m quite sure most of you still remember about this song, right? I still can’t stop singing and it’s hard to not dance a little bit when you hear this song. The Sign was released on October 1993 and was taken from Ace of Base’s debut album called Happy Nation/The Sign. This song has a catchy melody with a thick element of dance-pop and definitely a great treat for your ears.

To Be With You From Mr. Big

It’s time for Throwback Thursday! Well, I’m quite sure all of you still remember about this band and one of their legendary song which was released around 1991. It’s called To Be With You. Do you still remember who sing this song folks? Yupp, they are Mr. Big, one of really well-known American rock band. I remember my brother introduced me to their music when I was at elementary school. Since then my brother and I usually sing this song together every time we hear it through cassette or radio.

To Be With You was taken from Mr. Big’s second album Lean Into It which was released on 1991. This song was kind of soft rock with a great touch from the sound of acoustic guitar and clapping hands. It was a simple song but somehow I think this song will always remember. I’m Missing You From Meja

Can’t believe it’s already Thursday and it means it’s time for Throwback Thursday! This time I’m gonna take you to the year of 1996 and I think I’m quiet sure all of you still remember this singer. Remember the song called All ‘Bout The Money folks? Yes! We talked about Meja Anna Pernilla Kullersten or we known as Meja. Do you still remember the lyrics? 🙂

Well, I decide to choose one of Meja’s song called I’m Missing You as our Throwback Thursday for this week. I’m Missing You was taken from Meja’s debut album called Meja which was released on 1996. This song is both my most favorite and my less favorite song ever. Somehow, this song is the saddest song I’ve ever heard until now. Both voice and lyrics totally made some kind of blue feeling every time I hear it. Is it just me or do you also feel it too?
